A common passion and purpose, to honor the men and women who serve in our nation's military, solidifies our friendships and empowers the OWOFF team. Dave is an internationally renowned innovation and product development leader with global insight within the automotive and future mobility industry. He has held functional and executive management positions in Europe, Asia and North America, with Prince, Johnson Controls and Yanfeng Automotive as well as being a graduate of and a Vice President at the prestigious Art Center College of Design. He has a passion for connecting passionate and inspirational people to make great things happen.
John’s body of work within the automotive sector includes: motorsports, television advertising, broadcast sports television, displays and exhibits, film and video production, media events, experiential marketing, and learning and performance improvement. He has held senior management positions at Ross Roy Communications, Caribiner International, Jackson-Dawson Communications and Precision Dynamics International.
Kim is a life-long resident of Minnesota, a torchbearer for the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City and has won numerous racing titles within BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche Clubs as well as the famous Cannonball Run series. His professional career has been in the fields of consumer electronics, automotive/motorsports and adult education.
Military Advisor and Educator - Steve retired as a Marine Corps Colonel 12 years ago. A helicopter pilot with over thirty years of operational experience his career encompassed a variety of worldwide assignments including Commanding Officer of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363 and Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Air Station New River. His last assignment was as Chief of Staff for Marine Corps Installations East, the headquarters command for seven east coast installations. Steve is currently an Associate Professor of Joint Military Operations at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.
Corey is a nationally recognized expert developer of automated mobility systems. For 10-years, he served in the U.S. Marines. Being among the first Marine computer technicians on F/A-18 fighter jets, he was meritoriously selected for promotion and trained as a fighter jet pilot.
Mike is an automotive training specialist who knows and understands the intricacies of cars and trucks, few people in the industry match Mike for expertise and experience. Mike’s extraordinary background includes: special vehicle engineering/manufacturing and a successful professional motorsports career.
Jim began drag racing cars in the mid 1960’s and continues today. He is a founding member of the Cars, Inc. Camaro racing team, having raced in the World’s Fastest Streetcar Events. Since retiring from Volkswagen of America, where he managed the company vehicle program, Jim spends his free time restoring classic muscle cars.
Peter has held numerous roles within the tier one automotive supplier industry. His career at Johnson Controls and Adient has allowed him to gain a deep understanding of business cultures in Europe, Asia, India and North and South America. Peter’s has held a wide variety of roles including strategic planning, advanced sales, business acquisition / forecasting, and product marketing. In 2015 his unique people focused process helped Johnson Controls win over a billion dollars of new business globally in 2015. His educational background includes a Bachelors of Arts (BFA) degree from the University of Michigan, and a Masters of Business (MBA) degree from Indiana University.
Matt started his professional career in 1992 serving 12 years in the United States Marine Corps earning the rank of Major. As a designated Naval Aviator he served in numerous aviation command and staff billets worldwide including combat mission support in the Middle East and Far East. With over 2500 mishap free flight hours, his awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2d award), Navy Achievement Medal (2d award), National Defense Service Medal (2d award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Humanitarian Service Medal. Following Matt's service with the Marines, he spent 12 years with Fluor Corporation in Washington DC. In 2016, Matt became the CEO of Pratt Miller Engineering (PME) headquartered in New Hudson, Michigan. Pratt Miller is proudly serves the Defense, Mobility, and Motorsports industries. He has a B.A. from Roger Williams University and a M.S. in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego. In addition, Matt has completed Executive Education programs from Harvard Business School and Thunderbird International School of Global Management.
Matt Baker is a retired Marine with 28 years of operational experience including deployments to Afghanistan as a battalion commander (1st Battalion, 3d Marines) and Iraq as a battalion executive officer (3d Battalion, 4th Marines). He was instrumental in the beginning stages of the Marine Corps’ Warrior Transition Program as the Deputy for Marine Corps Community Services at 29 Palms and it was in this capacity that he was introduced to OWOFF as a program focused on safety through prevention. Matt retired in 2015 and works as the Director for Microgrids and Critical Power at Typhoon HIL, INC.
Colonel Troy A. Postin hails originally from Ellisville Illinois but has been a resident of the Wash DC area for the last 40 years. He was commissioned an Infantry second lieutenant in 1991 upon graduation from the Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning Georgia. COL Postin has served in a wide variety of command and staff positions throughout his career. He has had seven deployments; spending two years in Iraq, three years in Afghanistan, one year in Kuwait, and one year in Florida. His last assignment was Brigade Commander of the 800th Training Support Brigade. Upon completion of a successful command, COL Postin retired from the Army Reserves on 31 August 2019. He has 17 years experience in the automotive Industry – both in parts and service, and was general manager for a multi-million dollar parts distributer in the Wash DC Metro area. He has done amateur journalism for both the Audi Quattro Club, and the Porsche Club of America. In 2007 he transitioned to information technology and works in that field to this day. He lives in Northern Virginia with his family and works for the Intelligence Community.
As executive creative director for Acura, Dave Marek is responsible for all designs of the Acura brand worldwide. That included his bringing to life the brand’s Precision Crafted Performance in the designs of the second-generation NSX and 2019 Acura RDX, as well as the 1994 Honda Accord Wagon, 1997 Acura CL, 2003 Honda Element, and 2006 Honda Ridgeline and other sin his 30+ years with Honda R&D America’s, Inc. Marek earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design, graduating with honors from Dave is well known and networked across the automotive design world. Marek’s work has been published in numerous enthusiast magazines, including Road & Track, Racer, Street Rodder, and Car Graphic, as well as online at zero2sixtydesign.com and showrods.com. Marek also has created fine art and graphics for various championship racing teams, including Honda Racing. Most recently, Marek led the designs for the 2019 IMSA Acura Team Penske ARX-05 prototypes, which made their racing debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway in January 2019.

Tom is an award winning DP with an Emmy award among his industry credits. He is a US Marine Corps veteran, having served proudly as a combat photographer/cameraman during the Vietnam War. Tom is also an aviator who can register along with his many other achievements, winning a class championship at the Reno Air Races.
Nick is a college student determined to secure a career position at a tech giant in Silicon Valley. His father is a US Army combat veteran who served honorably in Iraq during both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, so Nick answered our request for IT assistance without a moment of hesitation. He is currently paying his college tuition by working as an Apple retail sales representative.
Jessica honed her social media skill sets while owning and operating a nationally franchised fitness business. Her Fit4Mom exercise programs address the health and fitness needs of both new mothers and expecting mothers.
Kristine is a resource development specialist offering leadership experience as an executive director and front-line major gift and planned giving officer. Kristine has a 20+ year proven track record of securing funds for major gift and planned gift/legacy fundraising, cross-cultural fundraising. She enjoys building community awareness while securing funding through public-private partnerships. Kristine’s vocation in philanthropy is driven by a servant leadership model.
